I am fortunate enough to have become one of the early pioneers of Tenkara Fly Fishing in the United States.  I am a professional Tenkara Fly Fishing Guide and co-owner of Tenkara Guides LLC. 

Tenkara is an ancient tradition of fly fishing that originated in Japan.  It's estimated origin date is sometime in the 9th century B.C.
